Questions ??
In most of Life’s moments, having a set of questions and ASKING THEM can pave way for us to achieve great things and allow beautiful things to come in our life. This, Asking the right questions while writing a pitch, works exceptionally well in copywriting too.
A list of right questions ?
Why ?
Am I helping them get through this by adding this in ?
Who is your customer ?
What’s their problems ?
What their goals ?
What’s their desires ? What’s their compulsive behaviours ?
Are they wealthy ? What’s their age ? What’s their gender ? What’s their day like ? What are their biggest customers ? What exactly can you help them with the most ?
Is this line important ? Is it better without this line ? IS THIS ADDING TO THE USERS KNOWLEDGE ?? AM I HELPING THEM GET THROUGH THIS BY ADDING THIS IN ?
New Novel and Helpful
People pay attention to what is new.
People pay attention to what is novel.
People pay attention to what is helpful
AIDA Formula
Attention: Because it’s costly, grab it as fast as possible
Interest: Interest them with interesting facts.
Desire: Make them desire the product or action to take
Action: Describe to them exactly HOW they should take action, and when they should do it by.
Easy Headline Formula
[End result customer wants] + [Specific time period] + [Address the objections]
Don’t be scammy, if the headline is clickbait, the content must deliver the value.
Three lens for headlines - Competitive, Inspirational and Benfit Driven.
Editing ? What to keep and what not to ?
Attention is costly. Try not to impress the reader that you know how to write, inform them, arouse them and deliver, all of this in least amount of words.
If you’re TOO proud of a joke or sentence you wrote, it’s probably too complicated. Take it out.
If something you wrote is “meh”....delete it immediately. Don’t leave it on the page.
The point of your copy is to get the reader to take action.
Don’t ever lose their attention, or they stop reading.
That’s all. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Have a great week ahead.
